Meet The Maker
First off, just so you know…

Why the long name, “Flower of the Mountain Soap Co.”?
“Flower of the Mountain” is what I was told my name, Kunié, means in Japanese. An elderly friend of my Japanese grandfather shared that with me when I was little, and I’ve proudly embraced it ever since.
My Story
Hi there!

I’m a second-generation soap maker from Southern California, and I’ve called Florida home since 2007.

After 22 years in the insurance industry, I’m thrilled to embark on this new journey—making soap and other natural products. My love for handmade soap began in the ’90s when my mother crafted custom bars for my siblings’ sensitive skin.

Over the years, I learned her recipes and grew a real passion for soap making—especially as my own family needed gentle options (hello, kids with skin issues!). Now I devote my time to creating natural products everyone can enjoy.

I take pride in using high-quality, responsibly sourced ingredients in everything I make.
I hope you enjoy my handmade soaps as much as I love making them.
Thank you so much for your time and interest—and remember:

“Be Good, Do Good & Keep it Clean.”
